 As President and founder of RS Environmental Consulting, Inc., Mr. Schael is responsible for the operations and management of all aspects of the company. He maintains excellent relationships with clients, regulatory agencies, engineers and other members of the environmental community. He has a reputation for providing innovative solutions to difficult environmental design and permitting obstacles, facilitating project solutions that serve the needs of his clients while meeting all pertinent regulatory guidelines in a timely manner. Mr. Schael has 8 years of permitting experience. He spent 5 years in the environmental department at Ford Engineers, Inc., eventually becoming Director of Environmental Services. After forming RS Environmental Consulting, Inc. in 2006, he expanded upon the wetland permitting aspect of the business, branching out into endangered species permitting, mitigation banking and conservation land acquisition. Mr. Schael also volunteers his time for educational purposes, teaching and leading field trips at local middle schools, high schools and colleges. He is also on the board of trustees of the South Florida National Parks Trust, which focuses on providing private funding, particularly for educational programs in Biscayne, Everglades, Big Cypress and Dry Tortugas National Parks. As Vice President of RS Environmental Consulting, Inc., Mr. Huntington provides overall project management for all environmental projects. Mr. Huntington has over 30 years of experience in the field of environmental permitting. He has worked in the Federal Dredge & Fill permitting program with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the Environmental Resources Permitting Program with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP), and more recently as an environmental consultant specializing in the field of wetlands permitting. His area of expertise includes freshwater and estuarine ecology, wetland delineation and wetland mitigation. He has been involved in essential fish habitat studies, threatened and endangered species evaluations, and coordination with the Central & Southern Everglades Restoration Project (CERP). He has participated in several major lake and wetland restoration projects in many parts of Florida and has identified wetlands throughout the United States in the National Wetlands Inventory Program with the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service. While with FDEP, he served as the state Team Permitting Coordinator and successively guided several complex projects through Federal, State and Local permitting processes. He has been a member of two Regional Planning Councils and has served as an expert witness in numerous wetlands permitting issues. As Environmental Scientist at RS Environmental Consulting, Inc., Mr. Morris is responsible for conducting field operations, obtaining environmental permits and creating supporting documents and exhibits. He is well versed in field biology, wildlife surveys, wetland delineation, tree surveys & identification as well as data collection required to support permit applications. He is also experienced in conducting wetland functional assessments, including UMAM, W.A.T.E.R. and ratio based scoring.
Mr. Morris has been with RS Environmental Consulting, Inc. since its inception. In his time with the company, he has developed excellent relationships with regulatory personnel, working hand in hand to efficiently process permit applications.
